A BUG'S LIFE IN HONDURAS!

Honduras has a more dazzling array of sinister looking creepy crawlies than any country I have ever been in. The bug on the bottom is a four-inch long black centipede, which can inflict a very painful bite. This centipede is very common in Cofradia and can often be seen sauntering across the concrete floors of houses and our school. The bugger on the top is an unidentifiable master of camouflage that we spotted while visiting a friend's coffee finca in the green hazy mountains of Santa Barbara. He had a pleasing emerald body and sharp looking spines that resembled tiny pine trees, making for a formidable shield. He was at least five inches long. Apparently, he was venomous, so it was advised that we stomp him to death (there are no pictures of this).
