Get in your barrel and go...

Here is another picture from the ever-expanding Jon Barber arsenal, of Pulphapanzak Falls (the Niagara of Honduras), viewed from an overlook at the top. These powerful cascades drop 43 meters into a jade green pool beneath, and local kids can take you behind the falls, to a series of very moist caves, for a small fee (we did not do this, as the trail was very slippery during our visit). These falls are a must-see for any traveler to the original Banana Republic, and are tantalizingly close to one of the country's best kept secrets, D and D Brewery (which I describe in detail in a previous post).
